About the author

Helen Yeates is the author of the memoir Do Look Now. Born in 1945, Helen Yeates grew up in Brisbane, daughter of a secretary and an aviation weather forecaster. She taught at various secondary schools, and trained teachers at UQ and beyond. She became an award-winning film and media academic at the Queensland University of Technology, nurturing some of the brightest young filmmakers of the next generation. For the past ten years, she has been an Adjunct Associate Professor at QUT. Helen is also a filmmaker, a film festival judge, a woman who has tangled with celebrities, at the same time hosting legendary parties and elegant salons.
